Robert Aho is an architect and a certified building official. Individually or as part of large design teams, he has worked on commercial, residential and institutional projects, with construction costs for the projects ranging from $40 million to just a few thousand dollars. As a code official, he has reviewed over 1500 projects of nearly every conceivable project type. "I am in a unique position. I have both the perspective of an architect and that of a code official who has reviewed the work of other architects with a keen eye. As an architect, small projects are often more rewarding, in that they afford greater potential for creativity," as the architect indicated. "My work on the Weber Music Hall, although just a small role, in collaboration with Cesar Pelli, provided creative inspiration and technical challenges at the same time. That experience inspired me to go off on my own, to stretch my wings, so to speak. I have also been very fortunate in that my clients have been amazing people."
